SHORT REPORT- ON MONDAY 6TH JUNE PRACTICE A delayed start to the session due to movement of Marshals around the course. With bright sunshine the major problems were to be flies and the dazzling sun as it started to set. The session started at 6.45 with three newcomers in the sidecar event and one solo following a little later on their first lap of the course which was untimed, guided by marshals, all other newcomers having complete their first lap on Saturday evening. The full session started just after 7 pm with all the big guns of Hutchinson, Rutter, Anstey, Donald, Martin, Plater, McGuinness, Plater and Ian Lougher leading the charge to Quarterbridge. The first lap speeds showing the respect from the riders of the TT course, but still Ryan Farquhar managed to pull out a lap of over 124mph. On the second lap the top guns showed their superiority with John Mc Gunness blasting around at just over 128 mph (128.067mph) on his HM Plant Honda Superbike, to lead the Practice session as well as swopping bikes and putting up the fastest time in the Royal London 360 Superstock with a lap of 124.684mph. Adrian Archibald on his Suzuki superbike put up the second fastest time of the evening at 126.743mph, The fastest time in the Supersports being Ian Hutchinson on his 600 Padgett Honda at - 122.631mph and second fastest Ryan Farquhar - 122.433mph The Super stock was led by John Mc Guinness and followed by Ian Hutchinson on Padgetts Honda at 122.224mph The Sure Sidecar practice contenders lined up to blast their way with Nick Crowe / Mark Cox leading the pack but failing to make the top 10. The fastest of the night was Dave Molyneux /Dan Sayle on their A&J Rasing Suzuki outfit at 114.697mph, followed by Phil Dongworth / Gary Partridge on their Honda outfit at 112.4mph A good start to the first timed session of the 2009 TT Races Tags:
