The weather held out for the final practice session of TT 2009 although cooling from the last week, it enabled the last practice session to start on time. As expected speeds were down on the the speed carnival of Thursday evening. Having put in the fastest lap of all time on his Superbike on Thursday Cameron Donald set out on his Superstock and crashed at Kepple Gate making him very doubtful for the racing tomorrow (Saturday). He was conveyed to Nobles Hospital where it was stated he had suffered minor injuries including an injury to his shoulder. The session was dominated by Guy Martin on his 1000cc Honda / Hydrex Honda Racing with his fastest speed of 129.013mph in a time of 17mins 32.83secs as well as doing the next two fastest laps.second fastest of the night was Gary Johnson on his 1000cc Honda / Robinson Concrete at 127.794mph. In the Junior TT William Dunlop kept up his domination with the fastest lap of the evening at 123.345mph on his 600cc Yamaha / CD Racing followed closely by Steve Plater turning in a speed of 123.162mph in 18mins 22.84secs less than two seconds slower than Dunlop. But it was Steve Plater who put up the fastest lap on his 1000cc Honda / Padgetts Racing at 126.983mph in a time of 17mins 50.03secs in the last practice session for the Superstock, with Carl Rennie following him up in 17mins 53.08secs at a speed of 126.578mph The solo session was cut short to enable the sidecars to make up for lost time after the session last night was red flagged with no recorded laps. Nick Crowe/Mark Cox led the way on both the road and in the fastest time of the night at 114.44mph with Phil Dongworth / Gary Partridge posting a speed of 113.355mph after their second lap. So ended the last practice session of the Isle of Man TT races of 2009, with the rider ready to go to the line in the morning for the first Race of TT 2009. We need to send out our thoughts to Cameron Donald who having set the most Blistering pace at over 131mph looks to be having to sit the race out Senior TT Leaders board Friday Session Pos No. Rider Machine/Entrant Lap Time Speed 1/ 8 Guy Martin 1000cc Honda / Hydrex Honda Racing 17 32.83 129.013 2/ 1 Gary Johnson 1000cc Honda / Robinson Concrete 17 42.87 127.794 3/ 10 Conor Cummins 1000cc Kawasaki / McAdoo Kawasaki Racing 17 44.59 127.588 4/ 4 Ian Hutchinson 1000cc Honda / Padgetts Racing 17 46.76 127.328 5/ 12 Ryan Farquhar 1000cc Kawasaki / Team Alfs Kawasaki 17 51.75 126.734 6/ 16 Carl Rennie 1000cc Suzuki / WA Corless/Jackson Racing 17 53.08 126.578 TT Superbike Leaders board Friday Session Pos No. Rider Machine/Entrant Lap Time Speed 1/ 8 Guy Martin 1000cc Honda / Hydrex Honda Racing 17 32.83 129.013 2/ 1 Gary Johnson 1000cc Honda / Robinson Concrete 17 42.87 127.794 3/ 10 Conor Cummins 1000cc Kawasaki / McAdoo Kawasaki Racing 17 44.59 127.588 4/ 4 Ian Hutchinson 1000cc Honda / Padgetts Racing 17 46.76 127.328 5/ 12 Ryan Farquhar 1000cc Kawasaki / Team Alfs Kawasaki 17 51.75 126.734 6/ 16 Carl Rennie 1000cc Suzuki / WA Corless/Jackson Racing 17 53.08 126.578 Supersport Junior TT Leadersboard Friday Session Pos No. Rider Machine/Entrant Lap Time Speed 1/ 23 William Dunlop 600cc Yamaha / CD Racing 18mins 21.21secs at 123.345mph 2/ 7 Steve Plater 600cc Honda / HM Plant Honda Racing 18 22.84 123.162 3/ 3 Keith Amor 600cc Honda / Wilson Craig Racing 18 37.98 121.494 4/ 2 John McGuinness 600cc Honda / HM Plant Honda Racing 18 38.59 121.428 5/ 4 Ian Hutchinson 600cc Honda / Padgetts Racing 18 38.95 121.389 6/ 20 Jimmy Moore 600cc Yamaha / JMF Millsport Yamaha 18 39.07 121.376 Superstock TT Leaders board Friday Session Pos No. Rider Machine/Entrant Lap Time Speed 1/ 7 Steve Plater 1000cc Honda / Padgetts Racing 17mins 50.03secs at 126.938mph 2/ #16 Carl Rennie 1000cc Suzuki / WA Corless/Jackson Racing 17 53.08 126.578 3/ 4 Ian Hutchinson 1000cc Honda / Padgetts Racing 17 59.94 125.774 4/ 14 Keith Amor 1000cc Honda / Wilson Craig Racing 18 04.88 125.201 5/ 2 John McGuinness 1000cc Honda / Padgetts Racing 18 16.51 123.873 6/ 13 Daniel Stewart 1000cc Yamaha / Wilcock Consulting 18 18.50 123.649 Tags:
